Ariel's Intro

I'm Ariel, 21, and I really need this. I want to set a good, healthy example for my daughter and show her how to take care of herself. I've struggled with my weight and my health my whole life, and after I had my daughter instead of losing the pregnancy weight, I've continued to gain. I'm in pain all the time, and after work I can't even hold her without hurting myself. What I hope to gain most from this is the energy to spend more time with my family, not worrying about if I sit down to play will I be able to get up, or if I can stand to take my daughter to the pool because people will see me. I anticipate the biggest challenge for me to be portion control, and cutting out sugary drinks (I work at a Starbucks, so I probably drink about 500-1000 calories a day). I am afraid of failing, and what that will mean, because I've never been able to stick with the significant lifestyle changes I've tried to make, but I believe that if I can get through this 10-week program, I will have the tools and the good habits to continue to maintain a healthy style of living.
